Project Manager - Plumbing Construction

Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is looking for a Plumbing Project Manager for our Plumbing Construction Division!

Job Summary

Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is looking for a Project Manager to join our Plumbing Contract Division.

If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and seeing commercial construction projects through from bid to completion, we'd love to talk.

In this role, you'll manage commercial plumbing projects from estimating through closeout, working closely with customers, general contractors, field leaders, and our experienced project management team. You'll have the opportunity to own your projects while continuing to grow your technical and leadership skills.

Whether you're already managing commercial plumbing projects or have transferable experience in mechanical or commercial construction, we're interested in hearing from you.


What you'll do:

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects, including:

  • Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial plumbing projects.
  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and schedule of values.
  • Monitor labor, material, job costs, and overall project profitability.
  • Coordinate project activities with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage change orders and project documentation.
  • Build strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and vendors.
  • Participate in customer meetings, project planning, and business development efforts.
  • Help identify new project opportunities and support continued growth of the division.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects and working as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications:

  • Project management experience within commercial construction.
  • Commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and job costing.
  • Ability to build trust with customers, coworkers, and field personnel.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Experienced foremen, superintendents, or mechanical construction project managers looking to transition into commercial plumbing project management are encouraged to apply.

Schedule & work environment:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Regular time in the office, on jobsites, and meeting with customers throughout southern Wisconsin

Total compensation:

  • $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
  • Monthly vehicle allowance + gas card
  • Performance incentive pay
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Eligibility for full non-union benefits package (more details below)
